Our tailor-made trips are privately guided by local Ugandan travel experts with over a decade of experience leading trips and hundreds of safaris. From Gorilla Trekking to River Safaris on the River Nile, we have you covered. Our customized trips are designed by our American safari experts who handle communications, logistics, and offer their 24/7 support and advice prior to and throughout your journey in Uganda. Our Story
Safaris By Jon was founded by Jon Muwaita in 2018. In 2005, Jon had recently finished school but with few jobs on the market he took a job as a professional driver for top officials in the government. It was this job that opened the door to the tourism industry for Jon and in 2010 he completed his training as a professional guide. Jon privately guided trips for 8 years working as a freelancer before starting Safaris By Jon in 2018. In 2020, Safaris By Jon entered into a global partnership with Forrest James Safaris in order to ensure our clients receive Uganda’s premiere Gorilla Trekking Experience.
